The
Cavalier King Charles Spaniel U.S.A. Health Foundation, also
designated The Cavalier Health Foundation is organized
exclusively for charitable, educational and scientific purposes
to promote the health and well being of dogs, specifically
Cavalier King Charles Spaniels.It will support education and research related to the
history, character, care, breeding, genetics, and health
problems of Cavaliers.
The
following categories are being considered for funding:
Heart
valve disease etiology research
Heart
valve disease efficacy of treatment
Syringohydromyelia
Geographic
Retinal Dysplasia
All
contributions are tax deductible to the extent permitted by law
Grant
proposals are now under consideration.The Grants Committee and the Board of Directors are
responsible for reviewing the grant proposals and making a
decision on funding.
The
funding of grants is possible because of the tax deductible dues
and contributions from Cavalier Enthusiasts.In addition to membership dues, contributions can be made
in “Honor of” or in “Memory of” a favorite dog or
person.
